   Sponsor a Medical Student

Want to give a disadvantaged medical student the chance to achieve their potential? By sponsoring a student through their studies, you are investing in someone’s future – and the future of their potential patients.

Many medical students come from poor remote areas, and must struggle through their studies without basics like electricity. Despite their dedication, poverty may prevent them from completing their degree and becoming doctors.

For just Rs 2,500/- per month, you can join with other supporters from around the world and help a student attain their qualifications, providing support that their families simply can’t afford.

Details

- Sponsor a disadvantaged medical student to help them complete their degree (the student may be from any hospital in Sri Lanka, but as the Foundation of Goodness [FOG] is based in the South most requests come from Karapitiya/Galle).

- Sponsorship costs Rs 2,500/- (approx US$25) per month for up to four years of the degree (at your discretion), facilitated by FOG.

- Sponsorship will cover the cost of board and lodging, as well as text books and other essential learning aides.

- You will be provided with annual progress reports during the sponsorship.

- All money you provide goes directly to the student. Bank ‘standing orders’ will be provided so that your donations are fully credited without any administrative costs to FOG.
